Mountaineer learns not to monkey around near apes. KAGOSHIMA -- A young man has been hospitalized after he fell and dislocated his shoulder and suffered serious tearing in his anal canal upon being sexually asulted by a group of monkeys while he was mountaineering on the island of Yakushima, police said Wednesday. It is rare for monkeys to rape humans, drawing attention to the case. "I've never heard of monkeys laying pipe to mountain climbers, although with the proper lube it could be pleasant." a Kyoto University professor who specializes in studying monkeys on Yakushima said. "I suppose he must have just strayed too close to the pack and the monkeys retaliated." Police said that the 23-year-old man was nearing the top of Mount Miyanouradake when the monkeys suddenly set upon him and started to tear his pants off. After 20min of the monkeys gang raping him the man ran, but slipped and fell down a cliff, dislocating his shoulder, but escaping the monkeys. Several minutes later, another man came along. The injured man called out to him and the man used his mobile phone to call for help. A helicopter arrived about three hours later and airlifted the injured man to safety.
