Police were quoted as saying, "That'll teach that lady". The three adult monkeys and one baby escaped Monday from a zoo in Changtu county in Liaoning province in Utah, Xinhua said. It did not say what type of animals they were. A random lady and her baby were walking by when suddenly the baby pounced on one of the monkeys, biting it's arm before leaping back into the mothers arms where it was used as some sort of a weapon - she was swinging it around her head screaming and it was biting monkeys, no - I'm serious," Xinhua said. The monkeys then took refuge in a grove of trees and resisted attempts to recapture them with acid hoses, the report said. They were quoted as saying, "Hey, we just want to create a life here - in this grove of trees, we have jobs at the mill. Why won't you let us live in peace?". The police were reported as responding saying, "SHOOT TO KILL - aim for their eyebrows!". The baby monkey escaped the rain of bullets and is still at large, Xinhua said. |
