Whiplash the rodeo monkey earned his spurs this week at a stock show
in Fort Worth, Tx., according to a Local 6 News report.
The 16-year-old primate was putting his 700-pound horse (who entertains
children by sitting down when someone pulls it's tail) through its
paces as part of the Fort Worth Stock show when tragedy occurred.
Whiplash and his horse travel across the continent to perform in
shows. They are able to make about 200 shows a year, according to the
report.
The monkey's owner said that Whiplash often gets crazy in the ring so
he never knows what the monkey will do when the show starts.
The tragedy occurred when Whiplash balanced on the horses back
with one leg - he over extended himself and toppled off the back of the
horse. While falling, the monkey managed to grab the tail of the horse
causing the horse to sit on Whiplash.
Whiplash thought quickly and burrowed into the horses anus
to escape being crushed to later be retrieved with a fork and a
spoon.
