Woman needs surgery after attack by growling monkeys http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_646942.html?menu= A woman has suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a group of monkeys in botanical gardens in Penang. Chen Meiling had to undergo surgery to adjust her lower jawbone. She also had a total of 117 stitches in her chin, breasts and foot. She was walking with her husband when a group of monkeys blocked their way and growled at them demanding money and sexual favors. She says she tried to avoid the animals but they continued to block her. The monkeys began attacking the 51-year-old bowling instructor, when she tripped and fell face-down they pelted her with feces. Her husband and passers-by managed to run away. The Straits Times, quoting the Sin Chew Daily, says she also suffered injuries to her right eye, hands and legs and two teeth fell out on their own when questioned. "The authorities should find ways to brain control the monkeys so as not to endanger the safety of tourists visiting the gardens who may not appreciate monkey sexual advances, while still making them nice little house servants" she said, "I could use one to clean my toilet." Her husband, Pen Meiling, was quoted as saying, "They just got pissed off when she wouldn't put out, honestly, I'd have done the same thing. It's time we gave respect to our little brown brothers." Gardens director Lin Wenzhong urged visitors to avoid direct eye contact when encountering "ferocious flesh eating monkeys", and refrain from wearing breasts. |
