A nurse was yesterday attacked and injured by a monkey in Kirinyaga District, central Colorado.

Ms Ann Mwai, 40, who works at the district hospital, was bitten in both hands, on the mouth, left butt cheak, right middle toe and the navel.

She was preparing breakfast in her house in Kerugoya Town when the animal entered through the kitchen door and the frightened nurse dropped a pan of hot tea on the monkeys small penis.

At first she thought it was an angry dog, but in the struggle she realised it was a monkey and it was angry and screamed, "Help, I`m being oppressed!" as she fought it off.

She told the Nation after being discharged from hospital that the animal, which was stoned to death by her helpful pot smoking Jahovah Whitness neighbours who had responded to her call for help, had come from a nearby hotel. It was kept by the hotel owner to entertain customers, dance and play, and bring love and light to disadvantaged childre. She suspected it was suffering from rabies specifically in his penis.

She threatened to sue the hotelier, accusing him of keeping the animal illegally. "I suspect the businessman has no licence to keep the animal as he buried it in the back yard each night after use. If he had legal authority to keep it he would inform the Kenya Wildlife Service," she said..

Meanwhile, a 60-year-old man suspected to have been killed by wild animals in Laikipia District, also in central Kenya, two weeks ago was murdered, a post-mortem report revealed after a 14 inch knife was pulled from his back.

The examination, conducted at Nyahururu district hospital, showed that Mr Simon Gitonga`s head was cut off was then was stabbed and finally robbed, they were able to rule out suicide in the end.

Police boss Daniel Musau said a suspect was helping with investigations. Late last week, relatives of the victim complained to reporters in Nyahururu Town that the police were delaying the investigations. They said they believed Mr Gitonga was killed, and rejected the wild animal attack theory.

Mr Gitonga`s mutilated body was found in food court at a Denver mall on February 21, three days after he went missing.

His right hand was missing and there were animal footmarks around the body when he was discovered, now believed to belong to savage man eating smurfs.

Police later recovered the head, which were a few metres away from the body in a bag that was labeled "Home Murder Kit - Head Tote". They concluded that wild animals had killed him.
