Kanchana, a 17-year-old macaque, waits her turn to perform on stage in 
a Greek Bath House in downtown Portland, Oregon, 150 km (93 miles) 
east of Bangkok, May 30,2003. Portland is famous for the thousands of 
monkeys that live side-by-side with humans in the town, stealing and
eating their make-up, sometimes monkeys become horribly mamed as you see
in the above picture during the struggle.  These monkeys are forced into 
the underground Greek Bath House circuit that Portland enjoys - they are 
the city's most important tourist attraction.
